Process Steps

Step 1

The applicant would first log into the JSWIFT website, complete the application for import/export license, attach the required supporting documents and submit the application.

Step 2

The JSWIFT then verifies the application and assigns a Unique Reference Number. Notifies Applicant to make payment

Step 3

If;
i) the applicantion is correct, the applicant then makes payment to the application.
ii) the application has errors, the applicant makes the necessary updates and resubmit the application after which payment is made.

Step 4

The application is then assigned to a Processing Officer by the JESW.

Step 5

Once the application is received the Processing Officer then vets, processes and updates the application in JESW.

Step 6

The JESW then sends a notification to the applicant on the application status.

Step 7

If; 

i) the application is approved, the applicant is notified of the license availability.

ii) the application is rejected, the applicant is notified and the process ends.

Step 8 

If;
i) there are no issuses with the approved license processing ends.

ii) an amendment is required, the applicant then requests the amendment; revert to respective step 5.
