  1. Step 1

    JAMPRO

    • Prepare Applications along with all required documents.
    • Submit the application through JSWIFT: https://www.jswift.gov.jm/
    • JAMPRO reviews the application and ask for more information if necessary
    • Trader makes the payment
    • If the application is approved, a Registration Certificate will be issued to the trader.

    Trade Board Limited

    • Log into the JSWIFT website, complete the application for import/export license
    • JSWIFT verifies the application and assigns a Unique Reference Number. Notifies Applicant to make payment
    • Applicant makes payment to the application
    • If the application is approved, the applicant is notified of the license availability.

    Plant Quarantine Division

    • Submit commercial invoice and payment for inspection of export consignment
    • Payments made to accounts and receipt issued
    • Inspection of consignment
    • Phytosanitary Certificate is prepared and provided to the exporter with stamped invoice

    • Contact PQD
    • Exporter requests an appointment for inspection
    • The facility is inspected against a checklist
    • Packaging Facility Authorization letter received

    • Exporter makes an appointment for preclearance inspection and fumigation if required
    • PQD Inspection appointment time agreed
    • Inspection of consignment by PQD and APHIS inspectors
    • Stamped Invoice and Preclearance Certificate received
